Psychogenic purpura or Diamond Gardner Syndrome is a rare and unique condition where there is sudden appearance of painful lesion over body and extremities with bleeding from external sites preceded by severe stress or emotional trauma. Here, we report a case of purpura and spontaneous bleeding in a subject who was apparently physically healthy but suffered from moderate depressive episode without somatic symptoms, who recovered with antidepressant therapy and no further occurrence of purpuric lesions was noted in follow up.
